Our Team

Hans is a co-founder and partner of Lawside. He has extensive experience in fintech and blockchain law, Swiss and European financial market law, public and private banking law, and securities and secured transactions law. He joined private practice in 2014, after serving for 13 years as general counsel of the Swiss National Bank. He was a member of various expert groups tasked with drafting financial market laws and regulations, and also serves as a board member of fintechs and other companies. He regularly publishes and lectures on financial market law topics.

Sebastian is a co-founder and partner of Lawside. His practice is focused on Swiss and European financial market law (including fintech and blockchain law) as well as corporate law, contract law and white-collar crime. He has extensive experience in anti-money laundering regulation and has successfully implemented anti-money laundering policies. Sebastian serves as a board member of technology start-ups. He is admitted as a notary public in the Canton of Zug. Before entering private practice, he worked in the legal and compliance department of a securities and structured products firm.
